As Head of Research you will be excited by the prospect of ensuring Beacon’s data and intelligence is accurate, comprehensive and useful. You’ll be passionate about speaking to our clients to find out more about how our service can help them now and how we can develop our data, intelligence and product to solve unmet needs in the future.


The Head of Research will be interested in developing and using management information to continually improve and refine our processes. They will also be a champion motivator, with a make-it-happen attitude who would relish working in an entrepreneurial environment.  


The ideal candidate will have, at least, a Masters degree in a scientific or technical discipline; preferably life sciences. It is highly likely that the candidate with have a background in business or scientific intelligence. And whilst the candidate may not have lead a team of researchers before, it is highly likely that you will have worked in a team of researchers and have ideas about what makes a team more than the sum of its parts.

We’re looking for intellectually curious and commercially minded graduates who have a track record of high performance to join our best-in-class conference production team. You’ll be responsible for creating best-in-market events focused on Digital Transformation and Disruptive Tech. Whilst an interest in these areas in desirable, it’s not essential.


This is a no-day-the-same, fast-paced role which requires solving complex challenges and working to tight deadlines. You will have the opportunity to be creative and demonstrate entrepreneurial flair. This is a business research and project management role where you will communicate with senior business leaders across a range of industry sectors throughout the week.

We are looking for candidates who are ready to start in London at the beginning of December 2017.


Key responsibilities:

  • Sole responsibility for conference agenda creation and speaker recruitment
  • Phone research with senior level executives to understand critical issues in digital transformation
  • Guide the sales and marketing campaigns and manage the profitability of each event
  • Project management and delivery of key deadlines for each event
  • Ensure smooth running of events onsite, so travel is guaranteed 

To be successful you will require the following:

  • High academic achievements - 2.1 or higher from a leading university and A and above  at A’ level

  • Intellectual curiosity with a passion for business research
  • Comfortable with high levels of phone activity speaking to business leaders
  • Ability to persuade and influence people with natural relationship building skills
  • Comfortable accepting responsibility and leading a team to achieve demanding goals

30K – 35K Uncapped OTE

Love life sciences and sales but loath lab work? Did you love what you studied but don’t necessarily want a career in it…….realise that you are more target driven and high achieving? Then look no further we are looking for high achieving graduates in Life Sciences.


In this dynamic sales role, you’ll be utilising the knowledge that you have studied for and you’ll be responsible for raising awareness and selling delegate places on a range of our conferences. You’ll be contacting senior decision makers to discuss their current requirements and helping them to evaluate how attending our events can accelerate their business objectives.


The harder you work the bigger the pay cheque. You can expect to earn between £30-£35K in your first year and potentially 40K in your second year. The On Target Earnings is uncapped so the sky really is the limit with many progressing to a management role within 18 months.


At our brand new offices based in the heart of Victoria, you’ll join our 3 week intense sales academy combining both classroom theory and on the job learning where you’ll master the latest sales techniques from the best trainers in the industry. Giving you all the tools to enable you to not only meet but surpass your target earnings.

Conference Producer - Engineering and Construction -  Immediate Start - Competitive salary and uncapped commission

Love Engineering but would like to be have a more target driven role in a fast paced dynamic company. Join our high-performing conference production team where you will create cutting edge events for the construction and engineering industry.  Although an interest in construction and engineering is desirable it’s not essential.  What’s more important that you’re ambitious with a natural love for research and a thirst for business.


You’ll need  an intellectual curiosity to get to grips with complex challenges that come with conference production and be happy working to very tight deadlines.  This role offers the opportunity to accelerate your career rapidly, travel internationally and gain a broad understanding of business issues within the construction industry. 


More about the role

You will be contacting senior level executives by phone to research the content of your conference which will address the construction and engineering industry’s’ most critical challenges. You’ll use your research to write the agenda, secure the speakers, guide the sales and marketing campaigns and manage the profitability of each event.  As a producer it will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of the events, so travel is guaranteed.


With overall responsibility for the successful delivery of each event, you’ll need to be an engaging and persuasive communicator and a natural relationship builder.  You’ll be comfortable accepting responsibility and leading a team to achieve demanding goals.

As Sponsorship Sales Executive, for cutting edge business conferences. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a B2B sales environment. You’ll be constantly out performing targets and hungry to gain further professional sales training and development to get you to the next stage of your career.


You’ll thrive on making your mark in a great team environment whilst also being able to knuckle down and focus.  You’ll be passionate about getting results – and that means for your clients as much as for yourself. This target driven role has an uncapped OTE and unlimited future career opportunities.


The Role

We'll offer a competitive basic to reflect your experience and an uncapped commission structure which will realistically bring your earnings to between £40K-£45K in year one.  Earning potential will grow year on year.


You’ll be responsible for selling sponsorship packages to C-Level within pharma, legal/compliance, construction, and oil and gas events. Drawing on your rounded business ability to generate new business, you’ll reach out to international, senior decision makers using a consultative sell approach, offering opportunities to grow their business.  


Targeted at circa £30K per month with orders that range from £4K-30K, an average order size will be around £10K.  You’ll be an integral part of the team working closely with marketing, operations and production to ensure high quality delivery of your events. In addition to your sales responsibilities, you will attend your own events across Europe and USA.
